As a child Muthi impulsively drew on walls & surfaces, these instincts soon made her artistic inclinations very clear. After being nominated to shadow an NCAD student by her art teacher, Muthi became increasingly interested in arts education & gained entry into the college. During her studies she was exposed to performance art practices. Soon she began performing privately within her studio & soon publically in the NCAD gallery & Temple Bar.
Meanwhile she was also actively involved with the Dublin Biennial, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios & the RHA. During her time as a curatorial intern at Artbox Gallery she gained the experience & aspirations to curate herself. She became a curatorial assistant for exhibitions within the gallery, & eventually independently co-curating shows at the NCAD Gallery and the MART. She frequently speaks on panels concerning performance art in Dublin, including the Draíocht and NCAD.
She is now focusing on performance art writing as Managing Editor of in:Action as well as her independent writing practice surrounding ontology of performance and its materials.
